This will be implemented as a part of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s vision and based on his royal directives to set up a development plan with comprehensive defining strategies and action plans and frameworks for various sectors. This project will guide plans to achieve sustainable development in the Ajloun governorate over the next 20 years, economically, socially, and institutionally. It aims to improve living conditions and support a quality lifestyle and urban environment for the citizens of the governorate, with a special focus on the development of the agricultural and tourism sectors.
Al-Fayez explained that the comprehensive development plan will work to form the appropriate conditions to support the governorate’s key components such as heritage, culture, natural environment and infrastructure. It aims to enhance competitiveness, increase national and global recognition of Ajloun governorate’s distinctive tourism position and help to create incentives to visit the destination. This will reflect positively and encourage agriculture and ecotourism in the governorate, attract investment activities and promote the establishment of various productive projects.
